Biography

Dr. Dan Pinto attended Misericordia University for his undergraduate studies, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management. During his time at Misericordia, Dan was a member, captain, and Assistant Coach of the Misericordia Men’s Soccer Team, achieving NSCAA Academic All-Region Honors. Dan continued his studies at Misericordia University, receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Dan has had clinical experience in multiple orthopedic settings, treating many orthopedic conditions ranging from traumatic sport injuries to chronic neck and back pain. Dan has also had clinical experience in rehabilitation settings with focus on neurological conditions including spinal cord injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, as well as traumatic orthopedic conditions such as lower extremity amputations.

Dan focusses his treatment on an evidence based approach, and has presented research on evidence based interventions for physical therapy after a total knee replacement. Dan continues to strive for further education and expertise in the orthopedic setting, and is working towards becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). Dan’s philosophy on wellness and injury prevention/reoccurrence from an active and healthy lifestyle fits well with BREAKTHRU’s continuum of care from physical therapy to fitness. Dan likes to treat with a very personalized care, treating the individual and not just their impairments in order to help them achieve their goals. Dan also has a passion for community outreach, volunteering his time in order to educate the population about risk factors for injuries and when to seek the proper care.

When not treating, Dan enjoys playing soccer, running, reading, surfing, and relaxing on the beach. Dan is an avid Flyers and soccer fan. Dan currently resides in Audubon, NJ.
