Dr. David Pasi was born and raised in Somerset County, NJ where he attended Watchung Hills Regional High School. From there he earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ, and ultimately completed his pursuit of his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree at Rutgers University in Stratford, NJ. As you can tell, he is a Jersey kid through and through!
Dave is thrilled to be joining Breakthru’s team of exemplary physical therapists for his first job as a licensed PT. Despite being new to the game, Dave has gained extensive clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings through various internships completed throughout his Doctoral program. Having worked with post-operative repairs/replacements, work-related injuries, sports-related injuries, adolescents, seniors, and everything in between, he has developed the skill to tailor rehabilitation and exercise programs designed to uniquely address every individual’s situation. With that being said, there is still plenty to learn. As Dave begins to grow as a professional, he hopes to initially develop and expand his manual therapy skill set while continuing to progress his knowledge of advanced progressive exercises.
Dave feels it is of the utmost importance to utilize currently researched methods and evidence-based practice with all of his patients. This is done in an effort to provide them with the most meaningful and productive treatment programs, always trying to maximize their time, energy, and drive to improve. Having been a former college athlete and a physical therapy “frequent flyer” himself, he understands that with the combination of a strong work ethic, the right training program, a little guidance, and some positivity, any problem can be overcome.
Despite his North Jersey roots and fanatical allegiance to the Yankees and Giants, Dave currently lives with his lovely, soon-to-be-wife, (8/15/15!) Lyndsay, in Riverton, NJ. In his spare time, Dave tries to stay active by lifting, running, hiking, and doing anything recreationally. However, he loves to slow down with a good book, a good meal, or some good company.
