Biography

Dr. Jonathan Eaton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University in May of 2013. Here he obtained his Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). After graduating, he went on to follow his passion in pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, ultimately graduating in May 2016.

Jon has had a wide-range of clinical experiences over the past seven years including working in the ICU and on the med surge floor at a local hospital, rehabilitating patients in the sub-acute setting and providing outstanding quality care to his patients in the outpatient setting. His main priority is to get his patients back to their maximum function and potential. Jon has extensive experience with post-operated replacements and repairs, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological impairments as well as cardiac rehabilitation.

Jon first was introduced to Breakthru Physical Therapy and Fitness during his last clinical affiliation where he refined his manual skills and developed a more “hands on” approach to treatment. Due to his passion for therapy and dedication to providing the highest quality of care for his patients through evidence-based practice, Jon was offered a job and became the newest member of the team here at Breakthru. He understands and embraces the idea that providing quality care requires staying up-to-date on evidence-based research and continuing to advance his knowledge and skill set. Jon has worked with patients at every stage of rehabilitation and understands what it takes to get an individual back to their daily activities, whether it be sport or leisure.

While waiting for his license to come in, Jon served as a personal trainer here at Breakthru, promoting fitness, health and wellness. He also enrolled and became certified in LSVT BIG program. With this certification he is able to provide higher quality of care to patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological deficits.

Jon currently resides in Sewell, New Jersey. When he is not working, he enjoys playing soccer, hockey, golfing, and really anything that can be done outside!
