Dr. Linh Nguyen has lived in Cherry Hill all her life and attended Cherry Hill High School West. She enrolled in Rowan University in Glassboro where she earned her Bachelor’s of Sciences in Biology in 2013. Linh graduated from Rutgers University in Stratford with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. She was a recipient of the Multiple Sclerosis Professional Education Scholarship to attend and present at a Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim, CA. She is delighted to begin her professional career here at BREAKTHRU Physical Therapy.
At BREAKTHRU, Linh hopes to expand on her passion in community service by providing screenings or educational seminars to all different demographics in the South Jersey region. She discovered her interest in community service by participating in a school-wide project that provided movement screenings to migrant workers and from there, she set on her own path to spend four weeks in Vietnam to volunteer her skills as a therapist in a hospital clinic. Linh is an excellent advocate for BREAKTHRU’s mission as she is a firm believer that therapy should be more than just rehabilitation and rather, an introduction to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. Linh is interested in helping the field of physical therapy grow by focusing on PT advocacy to help the community understand more about the benefits and advantages of physical therapy.
Linh loves to treat a variety of orthopedics and sports injuries and is motivated to continue her expertise by learning more about McKenzie, Mulligan. She hopes to invest in different specialties such as OCS, or COMT in the future. She is interested in pursuing adjunct teaching in universities as she loves to teach and help the next generation. To help develop the field of therapy, Linh would also like to assist with research and present at future physical therapy conferences.
In her free time, Linh enjoys spending time practicing Aikido at the dojo and teaching piano to children. During the winter season, she enjoys snowboarding. In the warmer weathers, she can be found by the shore scuba diving or on the road cycling. Linh got the travel bug when she visited Vietnam in 2015 and now, she has several international destinations including Greece, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Japan.
