AFAA Certified Personal Trainer
Lisa was active in sports during high school, but found her passion for health and fitness while in college at John Carroll University, where she earned her B.S. in Biology. As her dedication to wellness grew, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the field, and earned her M.S. in Health Education from the University of West Florida.
Lisa was a stay-home mom while her husband deployed several times with the Marine Corps. After having two children and little time to exercise, she suffered from back and hip pain that threatened her well-being. Physical therapy helped her completely eliminate the pain and strengthened her resolve to help others manage pain through exercise.
In 2014, Lisa became a certified group exercise instructor and a certified personal trainer the following year. She instructed a high-intensity interval class for two and a half years on Quantico Marine Base in Virginia and gained personal training experience at the local recreation center. Although her own training is often comprised of high-intensity exercise and circuit training, she emphasizes the importance of a total body fitness program that fits the individual’s unique needs and goals. She avidly explores new fitness techniques and looks for ways to make fitness fun.
