Mark Sotto, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Bio
Mark is a dedicated and highly versatile physical therapist with over 15 years of international and multi-setting clinical experience. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to evidence-based practice, Mark consistently delivers patient-centered care designed to restore functional independence and improve long-term quality of life.
Mark’s professional journey began in 2011 upon graduating from the prestigious five-year physical therapy program at Far Eastern University Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) in the Philippines. After securing his Philippine PT license, he immediately entered the fast-paced hospital setting, establishing a strong foundation in acute clinical care and complex medical rehabilitation.
In March 2017, Mark relocated to the United States, beginning his domestic practice in Massachusetts before establishing his roots in Southern New Jersey in mid-2018. Throughout his tenure in the U.S., Mark has actively expanded his clinical versatility across diverse practice settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), memory care units, and orthopedic outpatient clinics. He currently serves as a per diem acute care physical therapist at Virtua Health, where he collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex acute patient populations.
Committed to clinical excellence and lifelong learning, Mark acquired two advanced certifications in 2025:
- The Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF), specializing in bone health preservation and safe movement strategies.
- Smart Tools Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), utilizing cutting-edge training methodologies to safely maximize strength gains in rehabilitating patients.
Whether helping a patient regain mobility after an acute hospital stay or utilizing specialized strength techniques in an outpatient setting, Mark’s mission remains the same: providing the highest standard of personalized, quality care to every individual he treats.
