Tim Salkowski PT, DPT, COMT
Mt. Laurel Facility Director
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Bio
Dr. Tim’s journey into physical therapy began unexpectedly when his father injured his hand at work. Intrigued by his father’s rehabilitation process, Tim, then a community college student seeking direction, found his calling.
With a rich background in weightlifting and athletics as a soccer and baseball player, physical therapy was a natural fit for him. He started his career as a physical therapist aide at Breakthru Physical Therapy, which fueled his passion for the field. Tim pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rutgers University, returning to Breakthru post-graduation as a licensed physical therapist. He now serves as the Clinic Director at the Mount Laurel office.
Dr. Tim’s enthusiasm for physical therapy is deeply rooted in his love for physical fitness and exercise. He firmly believes that exercise is often the most effective first line of defense against injury and pain. His clinical focus is on orthopedic and sports physical therapy, with a particular interest in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy. This innovative technique involves low-load resistance exercise combined with a moderate reduction of blood flow to a working muscle, enhancing strength and cardiovascular function.
Dr. Tim’s greatest joy is helping patients return to the activities they love and encouraging them to prioritize their health and fitness for life.
