Tim Salkowski PT, DPT, COMT

Mt. Laurel Facility Director

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Bio

Dr. Tim was first exposed to physical therapy after his father punched his boss’s desk at work, breaking his hand and sending him to a physical therapist. His dad had him come check it out since Tim was a lost, young person at a community college trying to figure out what to be when he grew up.

Due to his many years of lifting weights and athletic background as a soccer and baseball player, physical therapy was an immediate hit.

He would take a job as a physical therapist aide here at Breakthru Physical Therapy before eventually attending Rutgers University to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation, he returned to Breakthru as a physical therapist and is currently the Assistant Manager of the Medford Taunton Forge office.

Dr. Tim’s passion for physical therapy grew from a love of physical fitness and exercise. He believes that exercise is, in most cases, our first and best line of defense against injury and pain.

Throughout his clinical experiences, he has developed a passion for orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Tim has a special interest in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, which involves low load resistance exercise combined with moderate reduction of blood flow to a working muscle to increase strength and improve cardiovascular function.

The only thing Tim loves more than seeing his patients resume participation in activities they love is seeing them go on to make their health and physical fitness a priority in their lives for many years to come.

Jake treated me for tendonitis in my shoulder, and I could not be happier with the results. I went from being in severe pain, to being able to fully function again! Jake and his team are true professionals, and it is clear they are passionate about what they do. Many people seem to dread physical therapy, but I looked forward to my sessions! Jake and his team are very patient and attentive, ensuring you never walk out of the door with questions. Thank you for getting me back on track!

I started Schroth therapy last November after years of being self-conscious about my scoliosis. After my consultation with Kevin I was immediately put at ease by his expertise and easy going personality. You can tell he really loves what he does and he knows his stuff! I took the 35 min drive a couple times a week from Pennsauken to Medford-at times tired from work. He always showed me grace when I was a few minutes late. His ability to connect with his patients is something you don't find in a lot healthcare practitioners, and I sincerely appreciated it. Everyone at the front desk were always pleasant and helpful in making sure I was scheduled. After 5 months I'm so happy with my progress! I stand taller and my posture is so much better. Kevin taught me how to incorporate the Schroth exercises at home. I'm sooo grateful for his guidance through this process and will be returning to maintain my corrections. Thank you Sensei Kevin-you're amazing!
