Meet Your Director

Eric Therault PT, DPT

Eric Theriault did his undergraduate studies at Stockton University, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor in biology. His desire to further his education led him to New York Institute of Technology where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, graduating with honors and inducted into Alpha Eta honors society. Eric was published as lead author in the journal of spinal cord medicine for research he did at the Bronx Veteran Affairs. This publication led to the prestige research award from New York Institute of Technology.

Prior to Joining Twin Boro Physical Therapy in 2016, Eric served in the United States Marines. He also had several clinical rotations as a physical therapist on Long Island where he gained valuable hands-on experience treating patients. At Twin Boro, Eric served as a staff physical therapist in our Toms River and Manahawkin locations and has since moved on to Director of our Egg Harbor Township location. Eric also works at Atlanticare hospital as a per diem physical therapist.

Eric’s expertise is extensive and continues to grow daily. Eric is trained in numerous evidence-based manual interventions including active release, instrument associated soft tissue mobilization, McConnell and KT taping, and Mulligan based joint mobilization. He is currently taking classes to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

When treating patients or managing other therapists, Eric implements Twin Boro’s One2Four^TM Care Model to determine the “right level of health care” for each individual. This unique approach looks at the entire episode of care for the patient or athlete. This ranges from a relatively low level of function a patient might experience post injury or surgery all the way through to the peak performance required to return to their prior or preferred level of function. Therapists that skillfully combine manual therapy with evolving functional exercise along the One2Four^TM continuum strive to achieve the individual’s “meaningful goals” and “desired outcomes”.

My hand doctor told me that Laura Lee at Twin Boro EHT was the best hand therapist in New Jersey, and she certainly lived up to her reputation with me. I fractured my wrist badly, which also made carpal tunnel surgery necessary and thought I’d never have the use of my left hand again. But after a couple months of therapy with Laura Lee I can do it all now, even open jars and use the pepper grinder. I am thrilled, and I highly recommended her!

Twinboro PT is an excellent facility and Josh, the Physical Therapist I worked with was wonderful! I had two hip replacements but never had PT after surgery. Since going to PT, I am once again able to walk and climb stairs. I am increasing the distance I have been walking over the past few weeks. It really is great to be able to walk my dog again. The support staff is nice and pleasant and the facility is bright, inviting and clean. I would hightly recommend Twinboro in EHT.

After having 2 foot surgeries, one on each foot in less than a year, I needed PT to heal.In the past I've had PT after surgery and didn't improve after. I toldny doctor I didn't want PT. My husband had PT at Twin Boro EHT, he kept pushing me to try it. Eric and his staff at twin boro are second to none. I started with them after I broke my foot training for an Ironman. With only 22 weeks of training before the event, Eric and his staff setup a rehab plan for me with my goals of returning to my training as soon as possible. I have been going to different physical therapies for over the past 15 years. Most recently Rothman and baccarat. I have nothing positive to say about them, until I found Twinboro. I can attest, they are different. You are greeted with a truly positive And responsive front desk staff(Rachel and Jean) My two therapists were Christine and Eric. I CANNOT say enough great things about them.This location found not only one but TWO fantastic therapists. I’ve never had a therapist actually pay attention to the problems and pain I am dealing with. They are truly empathetic and literally go the extra mile for their clients needs. Completed PT today June 1st2021 w/My Guys& Gal! I have gained so much more functionality in my ankle that had 2fractures than before I arrived. It is due to the concentrated, thorough knowledge of therapeutic physical movements that I have been able to improve tremendously. Eric and the whole twin boro staff were so supportive with me from day one! I started physical therapy after getting my ACL reconstructed and this was my first experience with any type of physical therapy. The people here made it comfortable and easy for me. All Physical Therapist and staff are excellent! Little Erick T. is my main pt and helped me tremendously throughout my recovery. Big Eric and Nick are also excellent PT's who have worked with me and are always happy to lend a hand. Jean and Rachel at the desk are helpful and freindly with amazing positive attitudes. This was not my first pick for Physical Therapy ( due to a Workmans Comp injury it was not my choice) Eric H. and the crew are nothing but top notch PT’s. Eric H. Has incorporated a routine to keep my shoulder’s healing constantly progressing. My range of motion was classified by my doctor as the best he has seen for an injury as traumatic as mine. After 5 years of dealing with lower back pain due to an injury I sustained at work. Nick was able to help me get rid of the pain completely. I had gone through various doctors, injections and physical therapist, no-one but Nick was able to help me. In March, I hurt my upper back while at work. I’ve had back issues before, and have been to physical therapy before. I was expecting it to be like every other place I have been to. It was not! From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with the warmest welcomes, and absolute professionalism. Not only did they welcome me, once I was assigned where to go, they explained in detail what each exercise and stretch is for and why I was doing it. I was even taught the correct way to do the stretches, as to do them at home. Each person was so friendly, informative, and caring. After 3 weeks, it is a difference of night and day. My back, and even the rest of my body fell better than before I even got hurt. I highly recommend these guys, and appreciate everything they’ve done! Thank you so much for the entire experience, and I’m truly not looking forward to our last session. Highly recommend!

The crew at twin Boro has helped me so much get back to my life. I came in with a lower back and neck injury and eventually had a double neck fusion surgery. Before my surgery they helped me understand the exercises i was doing and how it helps with my injury. They were understanding to my situation and easy going. I started physical therapy back in December due to a work injury. My first day I could barely move and I was in excruciating pain. Eric was amazing with helping me with all the stretches and exercises. He was awesome with working on my back and neck. Everytime I left I felt amazing. All the therapists were amazing. Everytime I went I always felt welcome. They were always joking having a good time. I will say I learned so much about sports from the men talking about all kinds of sports. Lol. I would recommend this to all my friends and familu if they ever need physical therapy. And you can't forget the girls at the front desk they were always amazing with appointments. I had some wondeful conversations with the girls. But for Eric always remember the Cowboys wil always be better than the Eagles! Can’t say enough good things about Twin Boro. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I came in for a shoulder injury and saw Eric T. He was excellent at diagnosing and treating my shoulder. He also identified the cause of my elbow pain and treated that as well. My shoulder and elbow were good as new in a few weeks and I was back to working out as always. The staff is accommodating with scheduling and the physical therapists are knowledgeable and work extremely hard with making sure you get back to where you were before an injury

“Highly recommended”I have been to Twin Boro in Egg Harbor Twp a number of times over the years for various injuries. Each time I have left feeling healed and satisfied with the treatments and care I received . I have personally worked with Nick and Eric. They are great guys, professional and empathetic. They spend a significant amount of time with each patient to talk with them about their injuries, get updates and change the course of treatment if needed.Highly recommended for PTBill

Eric H. Introduced himself taken great concerns for my postoperative care. Asking thorough questions, coming up with treatment plans for both the center and home exercise.The EHT PT treatment facility is always(safe and clean)My experience:Eric H. Professionalism gave me a great sense of ease also with that comes a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. I loved working with Eric H. During my journey of post op healing. It was not easy in the beginning... But at the end... My recovery has increased greatly. I am able to do what I couldn't do on the first day of treatment.Eric H...the man is gifted with strong healing hands also he takes great pride with his patients. I started here post surgery for my left index finger after a plate insertion and have seen excellent results in the weeks following. My primary therapist was Eric H but I had seen both Eric T and Nick as well. The entire staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Eric was very well spoken and had a good ability to dictate what he was doing. He was quick to assess and treat my particular needs, focusing on manipulation more than exercise, which in my case was needed. I appreciated the catering to peoples particular needs as many therapists I know have set routines for said injuries/surgeries. Overall would highly recommend.

I went to see Eric after my third shoulder surgery and couldn’t believe how much better my results were than from the previous surgeries. My goal from the beginning was to be able to workout like I did prior to any injuries and Eric made sure that I was able to before releasing me. I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I needed physical therapy again.

Eric T is awesome !!! Very professional! The whole staff is very friendly and caring. They all work with you. Each has slightly different style but all work together. Nick and Eric H are also awesome. Would recommend to everyone and have. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Thanks for all you do!!!

If you need physical therapy try Twin Boro in EHT, NJ they provides quality services. The staff is warm and friendly. Give it a try and I’m sure you will be as pleased as I am.

What a great place for physical therapy. Everyone was very professional and maintained a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Eric Theriault was excellent at tending to my elbow pain and provided first rate treatment. I have been to many physical therapy offices but none beat Twin Boro in EHT. Thanks for all your help!!!

Right from entering the door I was greeted with a hello. After, filling out some paperwork. Eric introduced himself and took me to the back and listened to all my issues. He took some measurements and began working on my knee. He made it a very comfortable experience. Everyone at twin boro is like a family. They take the time to really get to know you. After, a few weeks I gain tremendous strength due to the help of my brothers and sisters at twin boro ! I just want to thank everyone who was a part of my recover process.

I’d like to thank the men and woman of twin boro physical therapy. Whenever, you get injured and have to work on the recovery to get back to normal it’s always a challenge. Eric and Nick, took the time explaining the process of my recovery. They made me strive to reach my goals they set each week. This gave me hope and strength to get back to normal.
