I have been with Breakthru since 2007 when I started as a student. What drew me to Breakthru was the emphasis on evidence-based practice and professional development. I have kept this love for education and have served as an adjunct faculty at Rutgers University and now serve as Breakthru’s director of clinical education.

Clinically, I am interested in many diagnoses, but I have a special interest in pediatrics and sports medicine. I love manual therapies and incorporate them into almost all of my treatments. My specialty areas and areas of interest include pediatric sports medicine and orthopedics, concussion management, scoliosis management, running, and endurance sports, spine, and general orthopedics.

I have had specialty training in the areas of manual therapy for the extremities and spine, concussion, kinesiotaping, active release, golf assessment, and others.

I like working with a variety of patients but particularly enjoy working with patients that have not responded to therapy and trying to figure out what didn’t work and how I can get them better.

I take a lot of pride in what I do and put a lot of critical thought into my care. What got me interested in physical therapy is my love to help people and my involvement in Jujitsu.

Tim and the Breakthru Physical Therapy team at Mt Laurel, helped me return to sport after my injury. In less than one year following my achilles tendon rupture, I was able to complete a half-Ironman distance triathlon! Tim is an expert in sports rehab and uses the latest rehab protocols to get athletes and clients back to sport and life with minimal discomfort. I torn my bicep tendon & waited 3 months before the repair. The bicep had significant muscle atrophy. Breakthru is an outstanding PT facility, Tim S. and his team used advanced & extensive technologies to shorten recovery from the torn bicep & frightening muscle atrophy. They put together a comprehensive rehab program involving bands, stretch, weights, recum bikes, soft tissue & scar message and blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy. In 5 weeks I progressed from being extremely weak with a bicep. My bicep was 1.5 inches smaller since the injury with limited range of motion. Five weeks later my arm has full function and I can easily curling 25lb dumbells. BFR under the direction of a PT really allowed muscle growth with much lighter weight. I joined a large support group with similar injuries and it appears no one has recovered as quickly as me. Tim's program & the Breakthru facility with certified BFR & deep scar tissue therapies accelerated my recovery by 6 months.

She diagnosed where the pain was coming from, explained everything in terms of how I could understand. It's been a few weeks and I have been pain free and moving much better. After surviving 24 years of Law Enforcement without a significant injury, I suffered a complete patella tendon tear at work just 6 months away from retirement. I laid in the hospital devastated with the thought of not walking out of the police station in the same manner that I walked in as a rookie. Only after surgery, unable to put any weight on my leg, did I realize what an uphill battle I had ahead of me. I had never needed physical therapy before and did not know what to expect, but I did know that I wanted to recover faster than the surgeon predicted. When I met Rebecca for the first time and told her of my hope, she completely supported me. She would proceed to push me when I needed pushed, motivate me on my bad days and pull me back in when I tried to do too much. As I learned to walk again, she gave me confidence despite my fear of re-agitating the injury. Now, as I am jogging and preparing to be cleared by the surgeon to return to full duty, I am in awe of what she accomplished. Beyond her technical skills as a physical therapist, it was her genuine empathy and compassion that truly set her apart. Rebecca’s kindness, patience, and willingness to listen attentively to my concerns made me feel valued and supported throughout every step of the process. She created a warm and welcoming environment within the clinic and made each session something I looked forward to, rather than something I dreaded. I started Schroth therapy last November after years of being self-conscious about my scoliosis. After my consultation with Kevin I was immediately put at ease by his expertise and easy going personality. You can tell he really loves what he does and he knows his stuff! I took the 35 min drive a couple times a week from Pennsauken to Medford-at times tired from work. He always showed me grace when I was a few minutes late. His ability to connect with his patients is something you don't find in a lot healthcare practitioners, and I sincerely appreciated it. Meghan is amazing. I was nervous about going to PT, but she made me feel extremely comfortable and is very down to earth and knowledgeable. She was able to help me find a routine that helps manage my chronic pain, and even printed it out for me so I could continue at home easily. She was able to adjust many things based on where I had pain so one thing didn’t aggravate another. She never judged me or shamed me for my tardiness (I’m just ashamed of myself lol). We were referred to Breakthru after our 13 year old daughter had a major knee surgery. She was fairly nervous about the entire process but that changed with the first visit. Her therapist, Mark, was quick to put her mind at ease and while getting her right into a routine she was able to do and actually seemed excited about. After just a couple weeks, she was showing off how much more she could bend her knee and doing many of the exercises on her own.The facility is very clean and with a good amount of equipment to tap into. Dr. Fahringer promised me if I followed his programming, I would be back to working out soon, but I had to be patient. I’m now back running and working out with little to no pain and feeling great! Appointments were easy to schedule and the office manager was very accommodating.

Jake was fantastic. Had an almost impossible situation with my shoulder. In 6 weeks regain 20% range of motion back. Great PT, gave me full attention during my session unlike some PT that overbook. Staff was great, easy and flexible to make appointments.

From the moment I walked in the door I just got a total welcoming feeling. All the staff was out of this world. They were all more than I could ever hope for in a physical therapy office. DJ was awesome and listened when I would say if something was too hard on another part of my body. He worked with me and made sure that all the exercises he had me do would be in the best interest of my recovery.

Saw Dr. Tim for 6 weeks at Breakthru to treat neck pain I had for over 6 months. He was excellent! Treatment consisted of heat, manual therapy and exercises. Tim has a friendly personality and listens attentively and then applies treatment- which worked extremely well for me. I highly recommend Breakthru and Tim.

I can never say enough about Breakthru therapy and Dr. Mark Bailey. I was blessed to be assigned to his care more than a year ago. He is so knowledgeable , kind and overall terrific. I originally went to Breakthru after foot surgery. I was in jeopardy of losing my job and health benefits but Dr. Mark worked with me and got me up and walking. Now i am seeing him for my knee replacement. The staff is so very nice and friendly including Kim and the other assistants at the front desk. I actually look forward to going to therapy. Mark, Riley, and the entire staff are fantastic and friendly. They not only help with recovery, but also teach strategies on how to remain pain free and maintain mobility after treatment. Breakthru has a relaxed atmosphere that isn't too clinical, and is entirely focused on getting their patients rehabilitated. I would absolutely go back if I need to, and would happily refer anyone else here!
