Dr. Rebecca Romano is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals and allowing them to return to all the activities they enjoy. Dr. Rebecca believes that physical therapy is a tool to return/continue living our best lives daily.

Growing up playing competitive soccer, Dr. Rebecca had multiple injuries that required her to go to Physical Therapy. Being exposed to the PT world at such a young age, Dr. Rebecca knew this was her passion, as others had once allowed her to get back to playing the sport she loved.

Dr. Rebecca has worked with individuals of all ages in many pivotal movements in their life. She particularly enjoys working with any individual who is motivated to get back to the life they love.

Need a baby sitter while doing PT? Don’t fret! Awesome place with awesome staff! Dr. DJ, Wendy and the gang LOVE keeping my 6.5 month old baby entertained and even put her to sleep while I’m doing my PT! That’s some amazing service right there! Tim and the Breakthru Physical Therapy team at Mt Laurel, helped me return to sport after my injury. In less than one year following my achilles tendon rupture, I was able to complete a half-Ironman distance triathlon! Tim is an expert in sports rehab and uses the latest rehab protocols to get athletes and clients back to sport and life with minimal discomfort. I torn my bicep tendon & waited 3 months before the repair. The bicep had significant muscle atrophy. Breakthru is an outstanding PT facility, Tim S. and his team used advanced & extensive technologies to shorten recovery from the torn bicep & frightening muscle atrophy. They put together a comprehensive rehab program involving bands, stretch, weights, recum bikes, soft tissue & scar message and blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy. In 5 weeks I progressed from being extremely weak with a bicep. My bicep was 1.5 inches smaller since the injury with limited range of motion. Five weeks later my arm has full function and I can easily curling 25lb dumbells. BFR under the direction of a PT really allowed muscle growth with much lighter weight. I joined a large support group with similar injuries and it appears no one has recovered as quickly as me. Tim's program & the Breakthru facility with certified BFR & deep scar tissue therapies accelerated my recovery by 6 months.

I came to Breakthru after I threw my back out. Shannon has been phenomenal in getting me back to myself. She diagnosed where the pain was coming from, explained everything in terms of how I could understand. It's been a few weeks and I have been pain free and moving much better. After surviving 24 years of Law Enforcement without a significant injury, I suffered a complete patella tendon tear at work just 6 months away from retirement. I laid in the hospital devastated with the thought of not walking out of the police station in the same manner that I walked in as a rookie. Only after surgery, unable to put any weight on my leg, did I realize what an uphill battle I had ahead of me. I had never needed physical therapy before and did not know what to expect, but I did know that I wanted to recover faster than the surgeon predicted. When I met Rebecca for the first time and told her of my hope, she completely supported me. She would proceed to push me when I needed pushed, motivate me on my bad days and pull me back in when I tried to do too much. As I learned to walk again, she gave me confidence despite my fear of re-agitating the injury. Now, as I am jogging and preparing to be cleared by the surgeon to return to full duty, I am in awe of what she accomplished. Beyond her technical skills as a physical therapist, it was her genuine empathy and compassion that truly set her apart. Rebecca’s kindness, patience, and willingness to listen attentively to my concerns made me feel valued and supported throughout every step of the process. She created a warm and welcoming environment within the clinic and made each session something I looked forward to, rather than something I dreaded. I started Schroth therapy last November after years of being self-conscious about my scoliosis. After my consultation with Kevin I was immediately put at ease by his expertise and easy going personality. You can tell he really loves what he does and he knows his stuff! I took the 35 min drive a couple times a week from Pennsauken to Medford-at times tired from work. He always showed me grace when I was a few minutes late. His ability to connect with his patients is something you don't find in a lot healthcare practitioners, and I sincerely appreciated it. Meghan is amazing. I was nervous about going to PT, but she made me feel extremely comfortable and is very down to earth and knowledgeable. She was able to help me find a routine that helps manage my chronic pain, and even printed it out for me so I could continue at home easily. She was able to adjust many things based on where I had pain so one thing didn’t aggravate another. She never judged me or shamed me for my tardiness (I’m just ashamed of myself lol). We were referred to Breakthru after our 13 year old daughter had a major knee surgery. She was fairly nervous about the entire process but that changed with the first visit. Her therapist, Mark, was quick to put her mind at ease and while getting her right into a routine she was able to do and actually seemed excited about. After just a couple weeks, she was showing off how much more she could bend her knee and doing many of the exercises on her own.The facility is very clean and with a good amount of equipment to tap into. Dr. Fahringer was great. I’m not the easiest patient to treat because I’m impatient and wanted to return to high intensity exercise as quickly as possible. Dr. Fahringer promised me if I followed his programming, I would be back to working out soon, but I had to be patient. I’m now back running and working out with little to no pain and feeling great! Appointments were easy to schedule and the office manager was very accommodating.

Breakthrough physical therapy has been a lifesaver for me after my injury. I play pickleball regularly, but I tore my calf muscles several times. Nick, my therapist, has been amazing in guiding me through the recovery process. He is very knowledgeable, caring, and professional.
